Lost/Broken Device

If your school issued Chromebook is lost or broken, please take the following steps:

• First, review items in the troubleshooting guide.
• If troubleshooting does not help, please fill out the form and a tech will reach out to schedule a repair.
• Lost Chromebooks will be disabled until located. When disabled, they will not be usable, even if they are reset.

As per terms of the PPS Chromebook contracts, you may be financially responsible for Chromebook repairs/replacements.

If it is determined a Chromebook was damaged as a result of neglect or misuse, you may be assessed a repair fee.  Currently, repair fees are as follows:

• Replacement Touchpad – $30
• Replacement Motherboard – $150
• Replacement Charger – $50
• Replacement Back Cover – $40
• Replacement Bezel – $35
• Replacement Bottom Case – $40
• Replacement Hinges (Left and Right) – $20
• Replacement Battery – $60
• Replacement Daughterboard – $5
• Replacement LED Board with cable – $30
• Replacement Storage Drive – $20
• Replacement Webcam – $35
• Replacement Speakers – $10
• Replacement Heat sink – $15
• Replacement Camera Cable – $25
• Replacement WiFi Card – $20
• Replacement Protective Cover – $20
• Entire Chromebook – $240
